Planning and Schedule Lead - Global Industrial Development

Full Time / Murfreesboro, TN, US / Smyrna, TN, US

We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Planning and Scheduling Lead role to support our US based GID team.

We are looking for a leader for our Project Controls team at Envision AESC. The project controls leader will be responsible for building a team of schedulers, cost estimator, and change management professionals. The leader will be responsible for recruiting, guiding team members, as well as developing a culture that emphasizes collaboration, communication, and accountability.

The successful leader is a strategic thinker who is able to manage a team of experts and ensure that our world class projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required level of quality.

Responsibility:
  • Establish project controls processes and procedures to manage and monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, working closely with project directors and other stakeholders to identify key deliverables and milestones and create a plan to achieve them.
  • Develop project schedules and budgets that are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project goals, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to identify the critical path, estimate costs, and develop contingency plans.
  • Monitor project progress against the schedule and budget, identifying any potential delays or issues that could impact the project timeline or budget, and developing strategies to keep the project on track.
  • Analyze project data to identify trends, patterns, and areas where improvements can be made, developing reports and dashboards to communicate project progress and highlight any areas of concern to key decision makers.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, including project managers, leadership, finance, procurement and external stakeholders if needed.

Qualification:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 10+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong background in construction project management, as well as excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience building and leading a team of at least 5 people, delegate tasks, and provide feedback and guidance.
  • Experience in estimation building infrastructure, roads, core and shell, and utilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, identify trends and patterns, and develop insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in value engineering and cost modeling with fast turnaround results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Knowledge of how things are built at the fundamental level, experience with high technology manufacturing plants
  • Ability to work within a global cross-functional fast pace organization
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Procore

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
