Luster National Inc., a minority-owned small business headquartered in Mill Valley, California, with offices nationwide, and a highly respected Program, Project, Construction and Consulting Management company, is seeking an IT Manager. This position is full-time and hybrid (2-3 days on-site per week) in our Mill Valley, CA office.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled IT Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems/application, networks, and all things IT-related! This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support with a focus on customer service to all our team members.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain new and existing tools, technologies, and solutions as well as recommend improvements.
  • Analyze and document processes and make recommendations for improvement by identifying pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Apply design thinking principles to understand and empathize with user needs and pain points, ideate innovative solutions, and create user-centered process automation workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for automation; research and identify automation tools, technologies, and platforms that will address the company's needs.
  • Develop and maintain dashboard for information technology with analytics that will allow for meaningful insight, present to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Take on leadership for projects and solutions within larger business initiatives; handle business-critical IT tasks.
  • Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
  • Identify systems that may provide commercial advantages in the global marketplace.
  • Create and route purchase hardware and software orders to Luster team member equipment, as well as secure terminated team members equipment.
  • Administer website updates, configurations, SEO updates, media, and social media integration.
  • Manage the maintenance and growth of the private company-wide Luster Repository network.
  • Manage internal file server and development projects, archiving and digital assets.
  • Manage systems administration: email accounts, software licenses, computers, and inventory.
  • Perform server administration tasks (e.g., user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups, monitoring data-center health, respond to hardware and software issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
  • Asset management for all existing and new equipment, including operating systems, security tools, applications, email systems, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, etc.
  • Support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
  • Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
  • Train staff in use/maintenance of corporate systems, applications, tools, technologies, etc. as needed.
  • Assist marketing team in preparing audio/video, SOQs, newsletters, and various reports.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years' experience with information technology management.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.
  • Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing.
  • Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication.
  • Have expertise in the Microsoft environment, particularly with the 365 Suite and its integration with the Microsoft Teams platform.
  • Advanced proficiency with web applications for content management and collaboration, specifically SharePoint.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Copilot Studio, etc.)
  • Experience in project management with knowledge of performance measurement of IT projects.
  • Should be competent with: Operating Systems - Windows and UNIX/ Linux (LAMP stack).
  • Should be competent with: Networking - WAN/LAN networks, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, SMTP/POP, Remote Access Services, VPN, PBX, Routing, Wi-Fi Wireless, Domain, and Hosting Services.
  • Should be competent with: Development - Visual Studio, C++, ASP.NET, PHP, Perl, Python, HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Should be competent with: Databases - SQL Server, Oracle SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Access.

Preferred Requirements
  • Knowledge of the Nintex process automation platform is a plus.
