ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
To maintain and perform general repairs on, but not limited to: presses, flangers, rolls, shears, welders, polishers, positioners, lathes, mills, air tools.
Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment & structures.
Assist other maintenance personnel as required.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver’s License.
Working knowledge and ability to MIG, TIG and stick weld.
Ability to analyze problems and find safe, workable solutions.
Above average mechanical aptitude and math skills, with emphasis on fractions and decimals.
Ability to follow instructions and direction.
Ability to lift to 50#.
Ability to read & use tape measure & other measurement equipment, & ability to use a calculator.
Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Ability to meet predefined deadlines while withstanding related pressure and stress.
At least 3 years of progressively responsible maintenance experience or its equivalent.
Electrical experience in 120V, 240V, 480V, single phase and three phase.
Knowledge of hydraulics, machine shop equipment & tools and basic electronics.
Reading and writing literacy required.
Good manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination. Close, distant, peripheral & color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, required.
Be thorough and attentive to detail in all job tasks.
Communicate with others in a team effort and train other employees.
Capable of wearing PPE for an entire shift including safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.
Follow all established safety rules and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform other duties as required.
Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
