Job Description:

The Role



As a Scientist Intern, you'll be working on highly technical products as part of a team of dedicated engineers and scientists from multiple disciplines in Northampton, MA. With oversight and guidance from your manager and assigned mentor, you'll be responsible for creating and implementing scientific solutions on product enhancement. As a member of a cross-functional team, you will be a key contributor on application's science solutions for ITC and/or DSC applications related to nanoparticle characterization.



Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in discussions related to the assigned project.

• Bring knowledge of useful tools and technologies and use that knowledge to generate orthogonal assays with our existing products.


• Follow, re-design and improve scientific protocols.


• Help us on our mission to develop innovative scientific applications.

• Currently pursuing a Master's or higher in Chemistry, Chemical biology or Engineering and currently enrolled in a graduate program.


• Prior hands-on nanoparticle synthesis or characterization experience. Personal, professional, or coursework experience acceptable.


• Self-directed and able to collaborate as part of a cross-functional team.


• Excellent technical problem-solving skills.


• Strong oral and written communication skills.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience with or coursework on calorimetry, NMR, DLS, NTA, Fluorescence-based assays.


• Experience with microfluidic systems.


• Knowledge or coursework on thermodynamics.
