We are excited to be searching for an exceptional Strategic Account Manager to join our Hummingbird Team covering the US territories. The successful candidate will grow, develop and manage all aspects of OEM sales into the region; delivering sustainable and profitable growth in line with the company's objectives.

About the Opportunity:





  • Managing existing OEM accounts, growing the sales funnel in pursuit of new business, and actively engaging in promoting a 'customer first' business climate.

  • Drive and manage key OEM accounts across the US territories to ensure that their needs are identified, met and exceeded in both the short and the long term.

  • To focus on new business in core markets within the US territories, identifying, qualifying, and developing incremental OEM business opportunities.

  • To coordinate and manage the interface between the relevant contacts within the key accounts and the appropriate Hummingbird colleague(s) to support smooth operation of the day-to-day activities and communications.

  • Work closely with the Hummingbird Team to identify and feedback key market trends to agree and implement appropriate sales and market development strategies.

  • Develop, agree and deliver the annual sales plan highlighting the customer support and other resource requirements to meet the agreed sales objectives.

  • Identify product enhancement and new product development opportunities for Hummingbird products and provide the input required for the preparation of business case proposals.

  • Maintain business records/documentation as detailed in the Hummingbird Standard Work practices documentation.

  • Actively contribute to the annual Spectris Business System (SBS) objectives.




About Your Talent:





  • A proven track record and solid knowledge of account management experience focused within the Medical and/or Industrial sectors.

  • Proven, substantive and progressive experience within account management, sales, business development within an OEM (or closely aligned) business.

  • Successful history of managing and growing key customer relationships.

  • Technically savvy with Salesforce (or similar CRM), MS Office. Experience with SAP would be a distinct advantage.

  • Demonstrated experience and results of working proactively within in a multidisciplined team.

  • Experience, ability and credibility to report and present to peers and management.

  • A driven and highly motivated self-starter, with ability and desire to progress with assigned tasks with minimal supervision to deadlines.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).



Key Relationships in this role are with:




  • Management, Sales & Marketing, Quality, Engineering, Research & Development and Supply Chain.

  • Hummingbird colleagues.

  • Customer Applications, Inside Sales and Product Support Teams.

  • Internal and External stakeholders.




Desirable Skills and Experience:





  • Customer Relationship Management ideally using Salesforce.com (SFDC)

  • Experience with SAP.



  • Miller Heiman and/or another strategic selling tool.

  • Willingness to provide application support and understand the technology behind the products sold by Hummingbird.




Essential Qualifications / Education:





  • Engineering / Technical Degree (or equivalent qualification) - or significant, progressive and proven engineering experience with a good level of technical/systems knowledge.




Location: US Remote - with flexibility for US travel (approx. 25% US travel after initial induction phase)




Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent



Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
