As the leader of this team, you'll be responsible for:


  • Formulating hardware/systems product strategy and roadmap aligned with F5's mission and business objectives.

  • Establishing long-term business goals, crafting annual product plans, and defining business priorities.

  • Prioritizing product investments, outlining the roadmap, and sequencing execution transparently and rigorously.

  • Conducting primary customer research to gather market insights that inform product direction.

  • Collaborating closely with sales to identify growth opportunities and implement product and go-to-market initiatives to achieve annual targets.

  • Cultivating a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team culture focused on mutual success.

  • Coaching, mentoring, and empowering a talented team of product managers and owners.

  • Representing the product area in quarterly business reviews, presenting the business's current state and outlining initiatives to drive growth.

  • Working closely with engineering leaders to align execution priorities with goals and provide business context and trade-offs to optimize product delivery.

  • Engaging with customers to drive product adoption.

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders in marketing, support, manufacturing, and commercial models to articulate dependencies and ensure aligned execution.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:


  • Background and leadership experience in appliance hardware and modular systems for data centers, including consideration of customer value proposition, technology innovation, and margin.

  • Proven track record of launching a full hardware product portfolio widely adopted in the industry.

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or engineering.

  • Passion for leadership and fostering the career development of individuals.

  • Ownership mindset with a proactive approach to challenges and a focus on delivering impact.

  • Preference for data-driven decision-making incorporating analytical rigor and managerial judgment.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, product management, release management, and support.

  • Ability to navigate between strategy, technical depth, and execution in product delivery.

  • Strong understanding of networking, application delivery, and application security concepts.

  • "Can do" attitude and a dedication to ensuring the success of customers and colleagues.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $228,000.00 - $342,000.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
