This position provides comprehensive office support and assists the Graduate Education front desk. This is a part-time role offering 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in daily operations of Graduate Admissions, encompassing administrative tasks, data entry, and processing.

  • Provide general information to students in person and via phone at the front desk.

  • Update and maintain the Graduate Admissions website.

  • Communicate with prospective students using various platforms, including email, Zoom, phone calls, and social media.

  • Generate reports and conduct data analysis using pivot tables.

  • Manage the admissions blog and social media channels.

  • Offer IT support to staff when required.

  • Contribute to both in-person and virtual graduate events.

  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in office equipment usage like photocopiers, scanners, and facsimile machines.

  • Strong punctuality and availability for a Monday-to-Friday work schedule.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, both as an independent worker and a team member.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel with pivot table proficiency.

  • Willingness and aptitude to learn various software tools.

  • Familiarity with internet-related applications including email clients and web browsers.

  • Experience with Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver is beneficial.

  • Troubleshooting proficiency for Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems.

  • Technical support experience and knowledge of various internet browsers.

  • Position exclusively open to graduate students.

  • Professional use of social media is a plus.
