The Digital Capability Manager plays a critical role in identifying and deploying priority Digital and eCommerce capability areas to upskill associates & drive accelerated online sales growth at Royal Canin across Business Units. Focused on growing Royal Canin and Eukanuba brand presence online, this role will assess Digital capability priorities, developing specific strategies and scaling organizationally, and share best practices and consultation with sales teams. Specifically, this role will enable Royal Canin to leapfrog our Digital capabilities by acting as the thought-leader & SME while developing & executing strategies in the following areas: Perfect Digital Store Subscription /Auto-Ship, Digital Content, Ratings & Reviews, Online Taxonomy, Retailer Search Optimization.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline


• Minimum of 4+ years' experience in eCommerce strategy/sales roles.


• Digital and eCommerce acumen in managing brand portfolios online via Digital Shelf.


• Previous project management experience


• Ability to benchmark competitive landscape and where to win in search, taxonomy, and over-all digital path to purchase.


• Understand core business metrics and how these can be influenced through online merchandising.


• Must be proactive, high energy, action-oriented, and results driven.


• Must be comfortable with providing thought-leadership to customers and senior leadership in fast-paced, ever evolving environment, and be comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and personalities.


• Up to 20% travel

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Own the Digital Shelf (PDS) Program to drive improvements across retailers' capabilities, focused on Merchandising Key Beliefs such as Perfect Product (Assortment), Perfect Path (Navigation), Perfect Position (Search), Perfect Page (Content), and Ratings and Reviews.


• Manage data vendor relationship which includes tracking budget & contract negotiations, submitting tickets for errors, enhancements, and reporting/weighting requirements.


• Close retailer content gaps by ensuring appropriate PDP eComm content exists, is created, and is syndicated through Salsify and other platforms.


• Act as an eCommerce consult/SME to retailers by bringing eCommerce strategies, test & learn opportunities and/or results and best practices.


• Own, develop and action a holistic Subscription ("Autoship") strategy for Royal Canin to define short-term and long-term annual goals with specific actions.


• Develop holistic Search strategy across retail customers to ensure Royal Canin is meeting or exceeding its fair share of the digital shelf, inclusive of both organic and paid results.


• Influence cross-functional stakeholders with regards to Digital category insights/research, dComm-specific Pack & Portfolio needs, and synthesize digital test & learns across Business Units..
