Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Job Description:

This is a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. The positionis based at the Stevens Point campus and involves courses primarily taught in person, but there is a possibility of teaching assignments at the Wausau or Marshfield campuses, and of online or hybrid courses. Teaching load is 12 student credit hours per semester (24 student credit hours/year). The successful candidate will teach courses in general chemistry and biochemistry, especially as they relate to degree requirements in nursing as well as the Clinical Laboratory Science major, Medical Laboratory Scientists program, and for pre-professional programs in health such as pre-medical, pre-physician assistant, and pre-pharmacy. Additional responsibilities include the development of a productive research program involving undergraduates, student advising, and department, school, college, and university-level service.
