General Summary:


The Department of Counseling and School Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Mental Health Counseling beginning September 1, 2022. Position is for one year, with potential for a second year, contingent upon performance and funding. Applicants will contribute to both online and in person M.S. degree programs in Mental Health Counseling.



Examples of Duties:


The individual in this position would teach courses primarily online in the M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program as well as teach in person. The individual would contribute clinical expertise and teach internship seminar courses as well as other content-based courses in the M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program.



Qualifications:


Doctorate or master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or a related field with 3 years post-graduation experience. Licensure in Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure. Teaching experience. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or related field though applicants with a master's degree and significant clinical and supervisory experience will also be considered.
