Position Overview

The KU Institute for International and Global Engagement (IIGE) was created in 2022 and builds on existing strengths in international education at KU. The institute seeks to align the academic, research and service efforts of the faculty, students and staff working in international and global areas. The institute will focus on creating collaboration and partnerships on campus, across the state and around the globe to support KU's mission of educating leaders, building healthy communities and making discoveries that change the world.

Job Description

The KU IIGE is hiring for student hourly positions. Job duties may include (but are not limited to): gathering data and research, preparing power point presentations, event planning and execution, designing flyers and event communications/publicity, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

During the semester term of the appointment, the KU student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must. 1) have been evrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer sessions or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester.

• Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.


• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.


• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions as evidenced in application materials.

• Any major considered but some international coursework desirable


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong editing/proofreading skills as evident of the application material.


• Willingness to perform a variety of duties.


• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet short deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

At least two semesters left prior to graduation.

• Experience with data analytics.


• Knowledge of a foreign language
