Nephrology Faculty Position - Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP)

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Nephrology.


Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents, advanced practitioners and nephrology fellows. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching. There will be an expectation of the ability of the candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.


Clinical responsibilities may include caring for kidney patients on both the inpatient and outpatient services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). Preference will be given to candidates with expertise or interest in either home dialysis, complex hypertension, or practice employing a value-based care model.
