GFL Environmental is looking for an Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Administrator to join our team out of our Southfield, Michigan office! Responsible for monitoring the AR Reconciliation shared mailbox and the AR Escheatment mailbox and manage tasks as required. Processes payment transfers and bad debt recovery transactions. Requests refunds and may call external customers to validate basic information such as address or payment details. Works closely with the Collections and Cash team and other internal organizations. Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitors shared and escheatment mailbox
Processes bad debt recovery transactions and monitors for completeness
Process payment transfers
Processes refund requests and monitors for completeness
Assists in the Escheatment process as assigned
Special projects as assigned
Follow company policies, procedures, and directives from supervisors/managers
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
One to Three years experience in account receivable and customer service
Associate degree (AA) from two-year College or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent customer service and phone skills
Ability to excel in fast paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing
Close attention to detail and good organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills
