As a Field Project Manager, you will support the Construction team both in the office and onsite. In the office, you might assist in developing schedules, creating installation guides, and reading plans. Onsite you will lead the field crews, communicate project status, and ensure expectations are being met.
Responsibilities Include -
Work with the project management team to develop project schedules, documentation, deliverables, milestones, and expectations
Partner with the project management team to develop and execute new job plans for existing and new projects
Assist in tracking projects, quality assurance, and managing escalations from the field
While onsite, keep office team informed daily of project status and escalate any issues with solution based thinking and in a timely manner
Identify solutions to challenges faced onsite, scope of work changes, and modifications to project timelines
Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency with the field operations and crews
Be a leader onsite and ensure all crews within the job are working productively and consistently. Ensure every crew has a strategic plan that meets LI Group and clients expectations
Oversee, manage, and finalize punch list tasks with field crews
While onsite, potentially restructure field crews accordingly based on the scope of work or crews performance
Understand and maintain knowledge on code requirements and general construction
Build and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors in the field and communicate professionally
Have a knowledge of LI Groups end-to-end solution and support each division in office and onsite
Attend daily conference calls or project meetings as required
Arrange travel plans
Support installations as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications -
Minimum 5+ years working in retail/commercial construction
Minimum 2+ years of Construction Management, Project Management or related field responsibilities, and completed project profiles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, able to apply best practices and to contribute to continual improvement initiatives
Problem solving and prioritization abilities to focus on core deliverables to keep projects on track
Exceptional blueprint reading and understanding of project documentation
Detailed knowledge of construction means and methods
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PPT)
Ability to travel on short notice, duration 1 day - 3 weeks, frequency could fluctuate based on projects (~40% Office; 60% Travel)
