PROJECT MANAGER / ARCHITECTURE / COMMERCIAL / MULTI-SITE

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Project Captain reports to a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager and is responsible for focusing on a particular aspect of a project.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role may supervise Designer I.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Produce contract documents conforming to building codes and zoning regulations.
  • Work with engineering consultants.
  • Check shop drawings.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Assist the Project Leader as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Good working knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of building systems and site requirements such as Structural, MEP, Civil, and Geo-Tech.
  • Highly organized, detail-driven, and conscientious.
  • Able to work well with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Proficient in current versions of Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture.
  • A minimum of 2 years of construction experience or a combination of 4 years of experience in commercial retail/mixed-use or multi-family housing projects is required.
  • Licensure in architecture is preferred.
