We are looking for a Bridge & Projects Engineer. This entry level role provides support for the Engineering, Operating, and Marketing Departments in the development of new business plans. As a Bridge & Projects Engineer, your tasks will include working with one of our P.E.'s in the design and engineering of new projects on our railroad. This is a full-time on-site role headquarted in Cedar Rapids, IA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and reviews plans, estimates and specifications for IAIS projects.
Assists with the management of the IAIS Bridge Management Plan, bridge inspections, plans, and construction.
Assists with property leases, land sales, and joint facilities.
Assists in the development of the MOW operating budget and prepare cost estimates.
Prepares engineering reports and other related work as required.
Professional Requirements:
1-2 years of relevant engineering experience is preferred, but new Engineering graduates will be considered.
B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Working knowledge in aspects of construction and design would be beneficial.
Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver's license, and be insurable under IAIS's commercial auto policy throughout IAIS employment.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary to commensurate experience; starting between $90,000 - $100,000 per year. Relocation package considered.
