Job Purpose:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Community Engagement Coordinatorto join our team. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit, retain, and engage volunteers, as well as for overseeing our marketing efforts to raise awareness and support for our mission.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a strategic and comprehensive volunteer recruitment plan to attract individuals who are passionate about our cause and possess the skills and expertise needed to support our programs and initiatives.
• Enhance volunteer retention and engagement, including organizing volunteer appreciation events, providing ongoing training and support, and facilitating opportunities for personal and professional development.
• Identify opportunities for expanding our volunteer base and diversifying our outreach efforts to engage with different segments of the community.
• Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives to increase awareness of our organization, attract new supporters and donors, and promote our events, programs, and initiatives.
• Utilize communication channels, including website management and updates, social media, email, press releases, and community events, to reach and engage our target audience.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of our volunteer recruitment, retention, and marketing efforts, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Lead communications activities related to our annual fundraiser; working with staff and the Board of Directors to manage invites, branding, event materials, publicity, and stewarding content for event programming.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, media, and other organizations to collaborate and on joint initiatives and leverage resources for mutual benefit.
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to raise awareness of our mission and programs and identify potential partnership opportunities.
• Respond to public questions and information requests via email, phone, website, and social media.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, volunteer management, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Track record of developing and implementing successful volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies.
• Strong marketing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey our mission and impact to diverse audiences.
• Strong computer skills, including website maintenance, social media, graphic design, slide presentations, and database management.
• Experience working in multicultural environments and with a wide variety of personality types.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.to travel to off-site locations in the service area of Outagamie, Waupaca and northern Calumet and Winnebago Counties.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends occasionally for events and/or training.

Skills:
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with volunteers, staff, donors, and community partners.
• High energy self-starter who works well independently and on a team.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Hmong, Spanish, French, or Kinyarwanda strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
