Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing small Cap facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of that plant's capital project's group.
Permanent Full Time Position with opportunities for Overtime

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities to improve HSE and specify for process owners
General
Holds responsibility for execution of projects from Scope development through Close out
Is responsible for applying sound engineering practices
Provide documentation as needed for each assigned project
Provides guidance to the project team to successfully accomplish the scope of work
Project Updates
Meetings as required to keep process owners informed about progress
Communications to update stakeholders on progress and project health
Project Execution
Scope Development
Translate Process Letters and stakeholders to create defined project scopes
Develop project execution plans and schedules
Determine what resources are needed for project execution
Financial
Cost Estimating for projects from Pre-Engineering through Full Funding
Responsible for creating Appropriations Requests and following through approvals
Execution
Maintains and tracks scope, schedule, cost, and quality trends throughout the project
Responsible for Cost and Change Management
Maintain proper communication with process owners about changes
Obtain Approvals for spending related to changes during execution
Responsible for Project completion including quality of deliverables
Closeout
Provide documentation for equipment installed on projects for SAP and File Room
Issue completion notices on time to maintain compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is desired
Experience working in a chemical manufacturing facility may be accepted in lieu of education
5-10 years of Industrial Experience working as a project engineer or project manager
Ability to quickly comprehend the scope of work for a project
A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
