Job Description:

The Laboratory Technician 2 in the Process Solutions Value Stream lab is responsible for executing activities related to support of existing products that contribute to the ongoing operations of the MilliporeSigma Integrated Supply Chain. Job duties include:Shift: Monday - Friday; 5:30am - 2:30pmWork with quality and technical leads to ensure project requirements are understood and deliverables are on timeResponsible for authoring protocols, test execution, and reports that provide documentation and comply with good documentation practicesProviding technical input on microbiological and virology testing design & execution within the Technology Advancement teamContribute to method and equipment development and improvement projects, new technology and equipment evaluation, method validation, and trainingInteract with other groups to aid in product/process change requests, raw material qualifications and customer applications.Contribute to data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement projectsEngage with industry by technical conference attendance and contribute to thought leadership presentations



Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or other science discipline2+ years laboratory experience ORMaster's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or other science disciplines Preferred Qualfications:Experience with viral and bacterial enumeration and assay methodsExperience with bacterial culture, mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniqueExperience with laboratory practices, techniques, equipment, materials, and mathematical calculationsWorks well both independently and in a team.Strong organizational and communication skillsSkilled in using Microsoft applications including data manipulation and statistics in ExcelUnderstanding of quality principles including ISO, quality management systems, Good Documentation PracticesRSREMD
