Customer Service Representative at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Alexander, Arkansas

Job Description:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for receiving customer orders, reviewing customer orders requirements, resolving any missing, ambiguous or non-standard customer requirements, entering orders into the business system and following up with customers regarding changes to orders. The Customer Service Representative will be supporting Protective and Marine Coatings (PMC) and you will report to the Manager of Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities

• Must be accurate in all phases of order entry, debits, credits and returns and the approval process according to ISO guidelines.


• Flexible to support several job duties at one time.


• Learn all product lines and be able to assist with all Customer Service telephones regardless of the region or business segment to give full back-up support.


• Have understanding of all PPG policies, guidelines and special product requirements and follow the ISO guidelines.


• Counsel customers on basic information concerning return policies, availability, packaging, price and general information found on product literature.


• Ability to apply the CAIR program for resolutions on general Complaints.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a Customer Service environment or college degree.


• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
