A Business Process Improvement Analyst spends most of his/her time evaluating existing processes to identify improvements that can be implemented to achieve desire outcome. Works together with multiple stakeholders assessing changes to our manufacturing processes making sure risks are identified and mitigated. Serves as a source of knowledge on lean principles and tools to our Ops representatives, as well as to supporting functions.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.



    • Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
    • Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
    • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
    • Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
    • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
    • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
    • Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
    • Measures performance against process requirements.
    • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
    • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
    • May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
    • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
    • Communicates team progress.
    • Performs cost and benefit analyses.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified; Black Belt Preferred
  • Facility Layouts - Experienced translating footprint requirements into efficient Layouts, including product/people flow. Must be CAD Proficient
  • Project Management - Experienced managing projects including project schedule, cost, stakeholder's communication & risk management.
  • Capacity Analysis - Experienced executing capacity analysis for manufacturing process, including batch-process, equipment utilization & head count assumptions. Translate requirements to allocate Labor.
  • Software Acumen - Knowledge on AutoCAD, Minitab, ARENA, Microsoft Office Apps, among others
  • Critical Thinker & Problem-Solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Good leadership skills
