The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is currently seeking a full time Mammography Technologist 2 to work in our Deerfield Beach campus. The Mammography Technologist 2 performs a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.



CORE JOB FUNCTIONS



Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic and radiographic equipment. Performs breast imaging procedures, including breast interventional procedures and ultrasound. Positions patients and explains procedures. Performs quality control functions and evaluates radiographs for diagnostic quality. Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques. Develops mammographic film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation. Provides orientation to new mammographers. Provides education and training to student mammographers. Assists with the maintenance and compilation of statistical data. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS




Education:



Associate Degree in relevant field



Certification and Licensing:



Certification in relevant specialty or field



Experience:



Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
