Summary of Job Responsibilities:



The Assistant Professor in the clinical educator track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to GI patients primarily at the Uhealth Sole Mia 9 half days per week, Opening June 2025. He/she will provide outpatient and endoscopic services to patients who require Gastroenterology services, or screening procedures. Candidates starting prior to June 2025 will be assigned on the medical campus, Doral, or Lennar doing endoscopic procedures, in patient attending at Jackson Medical Center and University of Miami Hospital, as well as staffing fellows in clinic, or independent clinics.



Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

• Maintain outpatient and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Sole Mia at least 50%
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  


• MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
  
  


• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)
  
  


• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (or board eligible)
  
  


• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
  
  


• Valid DEA licensure
  
  


• Current ACLS and BLS
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  
  


• Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialling
  
  


• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
  
  


• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
