Student Research Assistant providing research lab support in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine; under direct supervision, arranges, cleans, and/or tests research or lab equipment; provides assistance in performing tests or investigations using research equipment; performs other assistance in support of a research program; assists with collecting, compiling and analyzing research data; assists with generating reports as needed; assists with maintaining research supply inventory and orders supplies as needed; picks up, sorts, and distributes mail; make copies and files; run errands. Participates in mentored research. On-the-job research training will be provided. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
High School degree required. Must be currently enrolled college student in a degree-granting program; experience operating personal computer and other office equipment required; knowledge of medical terminology desired; Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
