The mission of the Global Brand & Advertising Strategy team is to advance Mastercard's journey to become a top 5 global. The team is a group of consultants of mixed disciplines, focused on cultivating a future proofed branding & advertising strategy that drives design excellence. We collaborate and partner with teams across the organization, including Regional Marketing, Product teams, Operations & Technology, and HR.

Overview
As VP, Multi-Sensory Brand Strategy, reporting to the SVP Global Brand & Advertising Strategy you will be responsible for building a compelling vision, strategy and innovation plan for our multi-sensory Brand.

Sensory Brand experience is core to how the Mastercard Brand continues to evolve and the experience our customers and consumers have. Experiencing Brand through all the senses is core to futureproofing prevalence, relevance, engagement, and preference and is a core part of our marketing strategy, as an experience Brand.

The Job
This role will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the multi-sensory elements - sound, touch, sight, taste, smell, with innovation that puts us at the cutting edge of Brand experience, supporting our business growth, B2B and consumer engagement.
You will leverage your Brand expertise and creativity to craft innovative experiences that break new ground for our category and major lifestyle brands, that ground us in culture, and drive us forward in an inclusive way.

You will spearhead the latest thinking on multi-sensory Brand design and how our brand remains relevant in an ever-changing environment. Undertaking proactive exploration to get ahead of the curve, identifying how new technologies and macro factors that will impact our role and prevalence.

Exploring and defining how the Mastercard brand 'lives' in new ways and in new spaces, ensuring the Brand personality effectively manifests, including web3, AI voice and other multi-dimensional spaces. Defining consumer journeys that have a multi-sensory Brand surround sound, leading to heightened experience and evoke positive emotion that creates memorable impact and sustained Brand strength.

You will serve as a thought leader guiding internal and external experts. Mastercard has been ranked as the No.1 audio brand in the world, it's imperative that we maintain our market leadership position. In this role you will find ways to innovate in music, to breakthrough and find ways for consumers to engage with the Mastercard sound and sonic system and find ways to expand the salience of our sound.

About You
Education: College / university degree.
First and foremost, you are a nurturing leader & motivator and someone who will be a great example of 'the Mastercard Way' and embody your approach to representation, inclusion and fairness.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in Brand experience design, and multi-sensory experience curation. This expertise will take the form of a track record of developing and informing award winning Brand experiences and innovations for major Brands. Expertise in music production or composing, specific music curations for Brands ideal.
Exceptional communicator and strong presenter who commands attention of listeners; clear, concise, and persuasive with ability to influence others while balancing an openness to others' opinion.

You are a strategic thinker and leverage data and insights to inform innovation and an ability to apply creative and Brand solutions to both B2B and B2C programs, with proven success of applying your ideas to drive long-term brand improvements.

You are forward-thinking, with a curiosity that drives you to uncover innovative solutions to big and small problems.
