Position Description

OPEN FIELD POSITIONS – WA

Dawson Construction, LLC is hiring for the following field positions for work in Alaska and Washington.
Applicants should be willing to work in a “Safety First” work environment as safety is our top priority.
Our people are our most important and valuable assets, and we will not put them at risk.

• Carpenter/Carpenters Apprentice
• Heavy Civil Equipment Operator
• Welder/Iron Worker
• Laborer

Position Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work.
• Attention to detail
• Manual dexterity
• Math skills; basic math is used everyday
• Problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
• Ability to work independently, complete daily activities according to work schedule, and meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, as well as understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
  
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the futures

Compensation and Benefits

• $20 - $40 per hour plus fringe
• Annual bonus, depends upon individual and company performance
