We are seeking candidates to fill the position of mid-level roadway design engineer in our Cleveland, OH office.



MID-LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER MAJOR DUTIES:

• Perform engineering design tasks for transportation projects from preliminary to final design.


• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.


• Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project manager especially in ODOT, local government and private clients.


• Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build transportation projects.


• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design and constructions plans.


• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers.


• Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost, and scheduling performance.


• Actively participate and serve in positions with transportation related organizations such as ACEC, ASHE, ASCE, DBIA, etc.

MID-LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.


• P.E. license registered in the state of Ohio is required.


• Experience working with ODOT required.


• MicroStation, GEOPAK or OpenRoads software experience preferred.
