Licensed Practical Nurse - Neurosurgery Clinic (100%) at University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa

Job Description:

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking a 100% Licensed Practical Nurseto work for the Neurosurgery Clinic.


Duties to include:

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8A-5P, no nights, weekends, holidays, or call. Option to work 8 or 10 hour shifts

Hourly: $20.31 to commensurate

Location: UIHC Main Campus

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
