University Academic Support Centers (UASC) is a comprehensive student support program consisting of three unique centers designed to strengthen the academic skills and written communication of students at the University of Kansas. UASC supports the University's commitment to the academic success and holistic development of students. UASC programs encourage student participation both in and out of the classroom, support academic and personal development, and link students to other campus and community resources for academic and personal support and development. University Academic Support Centers is a department within Academic Success.
Student Access Center (SAC) is one of the Centers within UASC. The SAC serves students with documented disabilities to provide equal access to academic materials and programs and to co-curricular programs and activities. This position will report to the Print Coordinator in the SAC.Job DescriptionText Editors work behind the scenes to create fully accessible classroom materials on behalf of students with disabilities who require print accommodations. They work independently on projects with hard deadlines, ask questions, and solve document and editing problems. Editors also provide proctoring support for the SAC Testing center, serving as exam proctors during the semester and during final exam week. While work is busiest within the first few months of any semester, ongoing projects and summer hours are often available. Duties and Responsibilities:
