Job Description:

The Program Director, Inpatient Physical Rehab is responsible for the development and management of the strategic plan and overall operations of Inpatient Physical Rehab services. Facilitates development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable rehab services outcomes by using safe, cost-effective methods. Responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsible for management of staff; financial decisions, budgeting process, and the department's continuous effective operation, including ongoing growth and performance improvement.Southern California Hospital at Culver City has been taking care of generations of Culver City and west LA residents. We are a full-service, acute care hospital with a 24/7 emergency department and nationally recognized patient safety. Now at 420 beds, SCH-CC is a general acute care hospital that utilizes many of the latest medical treatments and technologies. The hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient acute care services, including an orthopedic center, cardiovascular services, acute rehabilitation, sub-acute care, psychiatric care and chemical dependency programs. Additionally, SCH-CC operates a 24-hour emergency services center, which serves as a paramedic receiving station and is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and nurse specialists.Required Qualifications:
• Three (3) years of supervisory / managerial experience
• Working knowledge of the Prospective Payment System (PPS)
• Knowledge of data analysis and Quality Improvement
• Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Van Nuys and Hollywood Employees only)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in medical field
• Educational preparation in Health Services Administration

Pay Rate: Min - $124,800 | Max - $171,600• Develops and implements strategic plans, operational goals and objectives, and business / financial initiatives. Demonstrates strategic thinking in planning, implementing and evaluating programs tied to future growth of the operations and revenue enhancement. Develops and executes short- and long-term goals for the department consistent with established hospital/organizational goals and objectives.
• Develops and maintains quality and improvement activities in the department and recommends / implements changes as appropriate. Assumes responsibility for the collection and evaluation of quality improvement data and policy/procedure. Establishes and maintains rehab services quality control documentation, activities and policies. Ensures instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance are performed. Monitors internal controls and seeks to resolve issues in a timely manner. Ensures institutional compliance with professional, accreditation and regulatory standards of care. Ensures Infection Control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
• Empathizes with patient and patient support systems, expresses compassion and understanding for the situation and demonstrates care which is appropriate for the age, and cultural, religious, gender identity, or ethnic background. Engages in caring behaviors, taking conscious ownership for work and takes deliberate/thoughtful actions regarding how to best carry out interactions with the patient, families, physicians, and co-workers.
• Ensures appropriate staffing levels. Oversees contracts, contract labor, including appropriate credentialing, orientation and evaluation. Responsible for scheduling/staffing, coaching, training, hiring, firing, counseling, performance evaluations and competencies, and payroll process. Effectively manages staff in compliance with applicable regulatory bodies, and all established policies, procedures and legal guidelines.
• Appropriately educates and mentors, and leads/participates in company initiatives, such as employee engagement, to foster a team-oriented culture.
