Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Lead located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Lead will be responsible for helping the manager of area to develop and implement quality management procedures and systems. This person sometimes will be in charge of quality monitoring and assurance that all products manufactured or marketed by a company are free from any flaws or errors and are of the highest quality.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Lead group of workers to achieve Department and Company goal.

  • Report all abnormalities detected.

  • Keep records filed orderly and maintained at all times.

  • Maintain QA areas to be auditable at all times for ISO and customer compliance.

  • Ensure only certified QA inspectors work on product specifications and requirements.

  • Ensure all shipment buy off activities are conducted effectively and within the stipulated requirements.

  • Review some business statistics.

  • Determine and document any areas that may need improvement.

  • Inspect and sample the entire manufacturing process.

  • Review the current policies and improvise plans to improve upon the existing quality standards.

  • Review and analyze the effectiveness of the modifications made.

  • Ensure that all procedures within the company conform to health and safety regulations, financial policies and legislation such as equal opportunity.

  • Help the manager to educate the sales and marketing departments regarding the specific requirements of clients.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of related experience in a quality lead role

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Background in the manufacturing industry

  • Experience with CAPA and root cause analysis

  • Manage schedules for up to 12 people

  • Monitoring the line for quality related issues

  • Experience with Microsoft office /excel

  • Nice to have: Agile, Flex Flow, Baan
