Job Title - Assistant Project Manager | Affordable Housing Renovations

Location - Brooklyn, NYC

Salary - $90k-$115k plus benefits

Our client is a leading construction management company committed to enhancing community living in Brooklyn, New York, through the development of affordable housing projects. This particular project will likely span over several years, and is a great opportunity to become a part of a great business, and an experienced team with vast affordable housing experience.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager | Affordable Housing Renovations -
  • Assist the Project Manager in the coordination and completion of the project, within budget, and within scope.
  • Oversee and perform administrative functions concerning project activities, including scheduling meetings, drafting minutes, and managing project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and assist in developing solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial reports.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring project quality and adherence to established standards and guidelines.
  • Engage with community members and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and ensure project alignment with community needs and expectations.

the ideal Assistant Project Manager | Affordable Housing Renovations will have -
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction management or a similar role, with a preference for experience in affordable housing projects or occupied rehab projects
  • Experience working with either NYCHA or HPD on construction projects a plus (occupied rehab)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
