Technical Program Manager - Sunnyvale, CA

Summary:

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager with prior experience in Camera modules and product reliability to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! The main function of a Technical Program Manager on the Depth Sensing team is to support reliability test programs during the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production phases of the product lifecycle. You will provide successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs involving that require cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across a group of projects and/or related activities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage external suppliers through the development and qualification of custom components for camera and depth systems.
  • Work closely with the Depth Sensing team, driving and tracking the definition and delivery of advanced depth projectors and/or strategic components.
  • Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs.
  • Manage communication within, and between, internal engineering and external vendor teams
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program status, and identify/address potential risks/issues; driving corrective action and mitigations to closure.
  • Manage delivery of samples for development builds and support mass production part planning.
  • Organize required face to face on-site meeting with suppliers.
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, design options, and test plans.
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.
  • International travel to visit manufacturing sites and work with vendors may be required.

Skills:
  • 7+ years experience working as a technology Project/ Program manager for consumer electronics.
  • 3+ years experience working on Camera or Depth sensing technology projects highly desired
  • Must have experience within depth sensing technology, or camera modules, or comparable hardware component and module qualification,
  • Must be familiar for reliability testing for Hardware products as well as validation and characterization processes.
  • Deep experience with program risk and issue tracking and mitigation planning.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects.
  • Experience with milestone/gate driven hardware development (PMP, end two end, etc.)
  • Experience standard failure analysis/corrective action and process improvement processes (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.)

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP or PMI certification
