Job Description:

The Supplier Diversity Program Manager is a thought leader for data analytics and actionable reporting to drive efficiencies, maximize spend, and deliver cost saving throughout the organization. The right individual in this role will play an integral part in our strategic plan and goal to implement a fresh Supplier Diversity Program within procurement. They will be overseeing the program from conceptualization through completion and onward.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

The Supplier Diversity Program Manager implements and may provide input into strategic goals for organization and Finance. Applies expertise to support the development of policies, procedures, and programs to the procurement function and ERP procurement software. A thought leader for data analytics and actionable reporting to drive efficiencies, maximize spend efficiency, and deliver cost saving throughout the organization. Has familiarity with the Finance budget and may provide input into spending decisions, particularly as pertains to vendors, systems, and projects. Buying responsibilities for the entire organization within specific categories. Manages indirect spend for Retail Services, Mission Support, and various other Business Units. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 12 months to 2 years.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Develop a Supplier Diversity Program for Goodwill's procurement function that aligns with our long-term strategic goals and is reflective of the communities we serve. Report out on program deliverables to key stakeholders including our senior leadership team as well as board of directors.

2. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the supplier diversity program. Align the policies in-place with implementation efforts toward a fully developed Supplier Diversity Integration program. Develop procedures for Supplier Development Maintenance and KPI reporting. Integrate Supplier Diversity Program knowledge into current processes, procedures, and policies, while building a more robust version alongside our DEI workstreams.

3. Build a vendor identification process that identifies development opportunities for diverse suppliers including an outreach program and partnerships with professional groups and organizations. (couple this with bullet below)

4. Monitor and approve vendors based on Certifying Bodies and in partnership with Goodwill's Community Relations department.

5. Manage relationships with vendors to develop strong, mutually beneficial partnerships. Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices with suppliers, and recommend suppliers with respect to performance (cost, quality, delivery competitiveness) and supplier diversity initiatives.

6. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) around diverse spend and supplier scorecards to monitor vendor and program effectiveness. Utilize knowledge of Diversity regulations and contract requirements to ensure KPIs are met and report customer agreement compliance.

7. Analyze suppliers for performance and cost savings opportunities through strong qualitative and quantitative insights. Perform cost and risk analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction.

8. Provide technical assistance to a wide range of end users across the organization. Manage ERP data integrity and utilize reporting capabilities to produce, develop, and present oral, written, and visual reports and presentations.

9. Assist in mentoring and training of staff at all levels as it pertains to the Supplier Diversity Program. Will be a coach/mentor for other procurement team members in partnership with the department leadership team.

13. Technical Skill: Expert knowledge of particular field of specialization. Advanced knowledge of organization's technologies and practices.

14. Community Engagement: Understands social trends driving Goodwill's community engagement initiatives, and champions initiatives. Is aware of Goodwill's community partner organizations and participates in volunteer opportunities as pertains to role and interest. Participates in industry/knowledge groups.

15. Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Associates Degree or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 7 years' experience.

2. Demonstrated experience with creating, developing, or administering Supplier Diversity Programs or similar procurement programs.

3. Proficient with MS Office suite, including Power BI.

4. Preferred experience with MS Dynamics ERP.

5. Negotiation experience with strong communication skills.
