Business Systems Analyst

Medline Industries is seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid background in the SAP APO and ECC-MM/PP environment of a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to strong leadership and analytical skills, you must have a roll-up your sleeves attitude.

Primarily responsible for designing solutions within Demand Planning, SNP, reporting, data analysis, data movement, purchasing, production planning and inventory optimization to business challenges in our Supply Chain functional area.
Works closely with the business community to perform functional analysis for designing solutions, evaluating options that include but are not limited to: new program development, configuration of existing systems, business process redesign, new package/system evaluation or a combination of these options.

Understands enough about each option to evaluate multiple options and recommend the best course of action based on requirements coverage and effort required. Demonstrates functional product knowledge within area of responsibility. Serves as a point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product and functional area.

Responsibilities:

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:
• Support, Architect, Design and help with requirements elicitation in SCM area with respect to Data movement between ECC and APO.
• Bring in best practices in architecting, designing & supporting APO-DP, SNP and MM/PP applications with procurement and production planning.
• Communication with end-users & team members
• Gather Functional/Business requirements from users & sponsors
• Author & Communicate business process design (BPD), business systems design (BSD) and system test plans
• Schedule & perform BSD walk-through with development team
• Support the development of team members during detailed design & coding phase
• String & system test execution
• Production support

Skills Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related.
• Minimum of 5 years total SAP systems experience implementing APO/SCM and ECC(MM/PP) solutions
• SCM 7 and HANA experience
• Experience in multi country planning a plus
• Strong functional and business knowledge in APO-DP, SNP, Procure to Pay and Production Planning
• Hands on experience with: SAP APO Master Data, CIF integration, APO DP, APO SNP, APO/BI infrastructure and data transfer, Procure to Pay/Production Planning ECC processes
• Knowledge of IBP a plus
• Experience working in a custom environment
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design a plus
• Knowledge with Talend a plus
• Knowledge of Composite and database information and use a plus
• SQL knowledge a plus
• Demonstrated performance tuning in both an APO/BI environment, including large volume data movement between systems.
• Demonstrated strong DP/SNP configuration and technical skills including history data mapping, APO BI design, statistical models analysis and selection (best fit vs. specific models), Macro development, Proportion factors, Demand aggregation and disaggregation, Final demand release to SNP, forecast consumption/reduction, SNP heuristic, SNP aggregate planning and hierarchy, SNP macro development and production planning
• Inventory Optimization process and solutions
• Previous development experience a plus
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
• Ability to organize & balance multiple projects/priorities
• Must be self- motivated with capability to work independently
