Position Summary:

Join the Illumina Microarray Product Management group as a Product Manager to lead on-market activities for the Infinium DNA Methylation portfolio. As a key member of the Methylation beadchip product team, you will work cross-functionally with development, sales and support teams to enable successful entry, adoption, and support of products in the marketplace.

Responsibilities:


  • Fulfill commercial, service, and development requests to ensure smooth daily functioning of the Infinium Methylation business

  • Perform market research to obtain a rich understanding of the market dynamics, customer needs, competitive landscape and trends at a global level

  • Develop and execute on a cohesive marketing strategy - communicate the marketing strategy at all levels including product roadmap and features

  • Collaborate globally with development, sales, support and product marketing teams to develop and implement positioning and messaging, training materials, and other sales enablement tools to achieve adoption targets and scale demand

  • Collect VOC from customers and internal stake holders and ensure alignment of requirements across teams

  • Define and measure success metrics for product adoption globally

Requirements:


  • Basic understanding of biology, chemistry, or other scientific discipline

  • Understanding of the DNA methylation and epigenetics market and business

  • Creative thinker with demonstrated analytical and data-driven decision-making skills

  • Excellent listening, self-motivation, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities at once

  • Ability to communicate requirements and negotiate priorities internally and across the organization

  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong business acumen, and conceptual knowledge of how large life sciences companies operate

Experience/Education:


  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • MBA or other advanced degree with work experience is a plus

The estimated base salary range for the Product Manager role based in the United States of America is: $80,900 - $121,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
