Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Scientific Communications, will be responsible for the execution of medical affairs functions including, but not limited to, medical communications, medical information activities and medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials. She/He will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure expert input and overall quality of communications, including, but not limited to scientific platforms, external communications, Medical Affairs website, medical science liaison presentations, training materials, and medical information documents.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Execute on strategic Medical Affairs initiatives in support of department priorities as assigned by management
2. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop standard response documents, FAQs, medical science liaison presentations, and other related materials
3. Contribute to Medical Affairs activities including conference booth content and execution.
4. Effective collaboration with external agencies (i.e. Medical Information and Medical Reviewers)
5. Execute activities related to Medical Information material development, responses, and escalations.
6. Conduct medical accuracy and context review of promotional and non-promotional materials via the Medical and Promotional Review Committee processes
7. Provide therapeutic area and clinical data expertise to cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc.)
8. Contribute to material development to support payer communication needs (i.e. Compendia, dossier, presentations, etc.)
9. Contribute to and follow SOPs and guidance documents for related activities
10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as all prevailing rules, laws and regulations relevant to the conduct of job duties and responsibilities

Supervision

Directs and oversees the activities of external staff and agency relationships. The position will also be responsible for the management, update and report generation from various Medical Affairs systems.

Education & Licenses and Experience

Advanced degree in biomedical sciences required (i.e., PhD, PharmD, MS) and 3 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the areas of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis is preferred.
