Summary/Objectives


As part of Hogan's Sales team, the Business Development Specialist (BDS) is responsible for managing new business opportunities through lead engagement and proactive outreach. Focusing on lead qualification, the BDS will identify prospects' business challenges pertaining to human capital and leverage knowledge of Hogan solutions and commercial structure to facilitate the most appropriate path of support. Additionally, utilizing various platforms, the BDS will optimize sales efforts through proactive outreach to Hogan's target markets. The BDS will serve as a resource to prospects, established clients, and former clients in providing information to guide buying decisions and support transactions, providing a premium customer experience.


Essential Functions:


  • Assist Sales Operations Specialist in assignment of inbound leads using established criteria.
  • Engage with inbound leads to scope fit, cultivate relationships, and identify the most appropriate resource to support potential opportunity.
  • Develop an understanding of Hogan solutions and the underlying scientific foundations to effectively support corporate clients in applying the information.
  • Leverage competitive research to understand competitive market factors and competitors.
  • Manage the sales process to include CRM reporting, pipeline management, and execution of forms and agreements required to support a working relationship.
  • Support in the design, implementation, and execution of prospecting campaigns.
  • Ensure client and participant data is properly secured during all aspects of daily operations.
  • Coordinate the internal resources required to support business acquisition, growth, and project implementation.
  • Conduct research utilizing LinkedIn, HubSpot and other on-line resources to understand industries, clients, prospective clients, decision-makers, and competitors.

Requirements:


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • A BS in Business Administration, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Marketing or similar degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience in client development, inside sales or outside sales.
  • 3+ years' experience in customer support will be considered.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; lift up to 20 pounds. This position routinely uses standard office equipment.



Position Type and Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position; typical hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed with approval. Employee must work 30 or more hours per week to maintain full-time status.



Travel


No travel or less than 5%
