The
College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida (UCF)

, a next-generation public research institution located in Orlando, Florida, invites applications and nominations for multiple positions including Assistant/Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Chair of the Department of Nursing Practice, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full Professor. These positions will be located on the UCF main campus and is expected to begin in Summer 2024. The position will relocate to the UCF Lake Nona campus following completion of a new facility in Fall 2025.

Assistant/Associate Dean of Academic Affairs

Associate/Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs

The Assistant/Associate Dean for Academic Affairs is a 12-month appointment that provides support for the day-to-day operations of the College of Nursing related to academic affairs, including curriculum development, catalogs and handbooks, accreditation and seven-year program review, program evaluation activities, inter-professional education and practice, institutional effectiveness related to academic programs, Florida Board of Governors requests/reports, faculty credentialing, and continuing education.

The Assistant/Associate Dean for Academic Affairs works in close collaboration with the Associate Dean for Simulation and Immersive Learning and serves as a liaison for the College to other units across the university, as well as clinical agencies. The Assistant/Associate Dean for Academic Affairs supervises the Data Analyst position of the College of Nursing.

Chair of the Department of Nursing Practice

The College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida invites applications for a 12-month, tenured professor position to serve as Chair for the Department of Nursing Practice. The selected candidate will provide academic and administrative leadership and bring experiential, academic and research expertise commensurate with the position. This position will be located on the UCF main campus and is expected to begin in Summer 2024.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate some or more of the preferred qualifications: a proven leader with experience in management of human resources, budget, academic and clinical programming, and accreditation standards; sustained record of research and extramural funding; national reputation in area of expertise; experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; experience in interprofessional education.

Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor

The College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida invites applicants for multiple full-time, 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor positions and tenured Associate Professor, or Professor positions. The positions are anticipated to be located on the UCF Orlando campus. The positions will be in either the Department of Nursing Systems or the Department of Nursing Practice and are expected to begin Fall 2024.
