Job Role Summary



Eskenazi Health is seeking an Acute Inpatient Occupational therapist with a strong interest in serving the inpatient mental health population. This therapist will spend equal time treating patients in our inpatient mental health recovery unit and patients admitted to our Level I trauma hospital. The Occupational Therapist will have the opportunity to perform behavioral health assessments and treatment plans for those with mental health disorders, as well as patients with poly-trauma, orthopedic, neurologic, pulmonary, and cardiovascular diagnoses. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with PTs, STs, Physicians, Nurses, and Case Mangers in disposition planning, identifying the most appropriate level of care post discharge.




Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Evaluation

  • Reviews medical history and adjust clinical decisions based on information

  • Administers appropriate standardized and non-standardized assessments
  
  
  • Develops age appropriate and reasonable plan of care
  
  
  • Sets reasonable and appropriate client-centered goals

Job Requirements

• Graduate of AOTA approved curriculum.


• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in State of Indiana or eligible to do so.
