We are currently hiring for our Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) who will be responsible for supervising hourly employees engaged in all phases of the production process. Duties include safety, quality, housekeeping, training, performance management, production productivity, labor utilization, warehousing, and control of raw materials.
Duties:
Promotes and encourages a safe, positive, productive work environment
Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, all quality GMP and company policies, procedures and recognized practices
Will be responsible for exercising authority and independent judgment on the shift
Resolves all production and quality problems that occur on their shift
Accountable for providing shift documentation on decisions, shift issues, actions, and status updates for the shift for the purpose of compliance and continuous quality improvement
Manages staffing assignments for the shift to achieve plant production and labor objectives
Helps develop new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiencies
Maintain a supportive and productive work atmosphere through professional conduct and effective communication
Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet production schedules
Responsible for corrective action on food safety and quality problems
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Accurately confirm production counts and review all production paperwork for accuracy daily to ensure accuracy and update the department KPI's
Effectively communicate pertinent information to Management and other departments
Responsible for the quality of the product produced on the shift
Responsible for meeting production efficiency and driving improvements in safety- quality- and efficiency
The Ideal Candidate:
3-5 years of relevant (food manufacturing) management work experience
Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and time management skills.
