Job Description:

Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX

Responsibilities and Key Points Related to the Position:

• Responsibilities include servicing high volumes of full truckload freight.
• Accepting/rejecting of customers freight orders
• Brokering loads to carriers
• Assist in planning and scheduling of pickup and delivery appointments.
• Building and sending out dispatches
• Tracking/tracing of loads and prioritizing HOT shipments.
• Providing excellent customer service to both the carriers and the customer
• Handle a large number of carrier/customer daily calls and emails.

Qualifications

Required knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2-5 years general office experience
• Must be able to work quickly and accurately.
• Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Self-motivated with outstanding customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Desired knowledge and Skills:

• Transportation industry knowledge a plus but not required.
• Truckload brokering experience preferred but not required.

Scheduling Requirement:

• Requires excellent attendance Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Occasional overtime will be required. Nights and weekend on call shifts
