Sr. Cloud Data Engineer at Merchants Automotive Group, Inc. d/b/a Merchants Fleet in Hooksett, NH (2 openings)

Position Overview:

Responsible for designing and developing high-performance, resilient, automated data pipelines, and data transformation applications that feed our cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform. Utilize experience with data management technologies to match the right technologies to the required schemas and workloads. Partner with business users, senior architects, and infrastructure engineers to form complete end-to end-solutions.

Duties:

• Design and build extensible data acquisition and integration solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business.
• Design and implement best in class data ingestion strategies and scalable pipelines, data warehouse and data mart structures in the Snowflake data platform.
• Build and maintain serverless data ingestion & refresh pipelines using Azure cloud services Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Streaming Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Databricks.
• Incorporate new data sources from external vendors using streams, flat files, APIs, and databases.
• Leverage data modeling skills to design, and develop dimensional model (Facts, Dimensions).
• Maintain and provide support for the existing data pipelines using Python, ADF, and SQL.
• Plan & execute using agile methodologies, developing & delivering within predefined sprints.
• Develop real-time / near real-time data ingestion solutions from web API, Kafka, and Event Based technologies.
• Develop and implement tests to ensure data quality across all integrated data sources.
• Demonstrate eagerness to explore how machine learning and artificial intelligence can support business objectives.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, along with 7 years of experience with the following:

• Designing, building, and optimizing etl /data integration across batch, near real-time, and streaming integration requirements.
• Data Warehouse and Data Lake implementations in Relational databases (such as Microsoft SQL Server) or any Cloud Databases (such as Snowflake) or any of the cloud object storage in one of the cloud platforms (such as Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in any serverless Data Integration services including serverless functions.
• Data Architecture / Data Modeling, both Dimensional (star or snowflake schema) and operational data stores.
• Developing software code in one or more programming languages (such as SQL, Java or Python) including stored procedures.

10% domestic travel. Telecommuting possible.
