Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking a Release Manager to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.
Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance required
Location/Flexibility: Must be local to the DC Metro area. This position offers remote flexibility with occasional onsite work in Dulles, VA
Responsibilities:
- Document stakeholder requirements and work with development team to convert them into user stories in Jira.
- Collaborate very closely with other release managers and development team.
- Assist to develop new feature or enhancement screen mockups.
- Work with various stakeholders eliciting requirements for new feature development or O&M of current releases.
- Meticulous presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Plan releases to staging, QAE and production environments.
- Produce documentation required for release management such as release notes, user guides, etc.
- Work with development teams to assist in writing test plans and performing various type of manual software testing as needed.
- Work with Atlassian Work Management tools (Jira/Confluence)
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree & 10 years of relevant experience
- Current and valid Scrum Master Certification (CSM) or ability to obtain.
- Current and valid Security+ certification or ability to obtain.
- Ability to document stakeholder requirements into user stories with definition of done and acceptance criteria, design/functionality workflows, and testing plans.
- Experience creating screen mockups of websites is a huge plus.
- Prior experience as a Software Release Manager
- Experience working with project management tools and presenting to customers/stakeholders.
- Experience with Atlassian Work Management tools (Jira/Confluence)
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle concepts
- Experience with Agile Development Methodology
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Experience writing test plans and performing various type of software testing is a plus.
- Prior housing domain experience is a huge plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
