Regional Truck Sales Executive (Remote, Western US Region) at Merchants Automotive Group in Hooksett, New Hampshire

Job Description:

The Truck Sales Executive will be dedicated to seizing exciting new business opportunities, with a special emphasis on acquiring new accounts. Additionally, they will skillfully navigate and nurture opportunities within a portfolio of existing or recently acquired clients in short-term leasing services, identified as having substantial growth potential.

Location: Executive will support a defined territory within the Western region

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Self-generate prospects to identify and sign new truck rental clients with rental opportunities of 25 trucks or more.
  • Maintain and develop outstanding relationships with customers through personal contact, in-person client visits, via telephone, or Zoom.
  • Display efficiency in gathering market and customer information to enable negotiations regarding variations in prices, delivery, and customer specifications.
  • Assist management in current and forthcoming ancillary products and services.
  • Review personal performance and aim to exceed self-determined targets.
  • Accurately and completely input pipeline data, leads, opportunities, and account information in Salesforce in compliance with management-directed standards.
  • Determine the appropriate forum to conduct high-level presentations and optimize in-person versus virtual participation for the team.
  • Home office-based with 20-25% travel required for in-person prospect and client visits.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in top-performing sales with expertise in contractual sales, closing, strategic negotiations, dynamic sales, and engaging executive clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for in-person and virtual presentations.
  • Influential in moving opportunities from inception to completion.
  • Skilled in probing for prospect needs and presenting solutions within the Merchants value proposition.
  • Effective networking and sales lead development.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and time management skills.
  • Desire and ability to learn, with a problem-solving and inquisitive nature.
  • Team player with the ability to coordinate company resources for client and prospect needs.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience is preferred in sales or a related field within the Truck Rental segment (Rental or Leasing).
  • Competency in common business information technology software such as Salesforce/Dynamics CRM, Excel, PPT, Zoom, etc.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and an acceptable driving record at time of hire.
  • Must continue to keep a satisfactory driving record, as determined by Merchants, and remain eligible to be insured by the companys vehicle insurance carrier. Employee must cooperate in completing any required authorizations or paperwork for regular motor vehicle checks.

Education:

Applicants with a four-year college degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
