Job Description:
Production Operator: Kansas Ethanol, LLC in Lyons, KS is looking for qualified people to work in our operations and production departments. Our operator positions require a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in an industrial plant is preferred, as well as a familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care. Production Operator
- Patrol assigned area to inspect equipment for malfunctions and leakage.
- Read flow meters, temperatures gauges and pressure gauges and record data.
- Report operating conditions of units to Team Leader.
- Turn valves and switches as directed to regulate temperature, pressure and flow rate of product and to regulate equipment such as pumps, compressors and blowers.
- Draw samples of products from tanks and analyze in laboratory testing.
- Operates pumps and agitators to mix product or load it into storage tanks.
- Lubricate, clean and repair equipment as needed.
- Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.
- Interact with other personnel to maintain safe, efficient operation of the plant.
- Operate numerous plant machinery as needed to move supplies or products and/or clean at facility.
- Work around railcars for loading and unloading of several supplies or products.
- Assist with training new operators.
- Learn and thoroughly understand immediate area of plant operations.
- Other assignments or projects as requested by any member of management.
Work Schedule: 2-2-3, 12 hours shifts, rotating day shift to night shift every 4 weeks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
