Quality Inspector (2nd shift)

Job Description:

Summary:

As a 2nd shift Quality Inspector you are an essential part of helping Entegris be part of the Future of Innovation! The Quality Inspector you will be responsible for: performing a wide variety of inspections, checks and tests for quality control for the manufacturing of products. You will need to be familiar with running tests and comparing the results to a known standard to ensure strict customer requirements.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 2pm – 10pm

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Approve incoming materials, in process production, and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials; creating quality notification for non-conformances.

• Communicate discrepancies to production supervisor and help determine next steps.

• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into quality database.

• Conducting process audits.

• Performing Capability studies.

• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs as needed.

• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

• Understands and applies statistical process control techniques, including basic chart interpretation and capability analysis

Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Physical Requirements):

• Previous quality/inspector roles in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience navigating SAP and Quality systems preferred

• Good oral and written communication skills, proficient with excel, technical training in blueprint reading, good values, willingness to learn, thorough, detailed orientated, open to feedback.

• Skilled using a variety of measurement equipment including calipers, pin gage set, height gage, test indicator, micrometer, pitch micrometer, dial indicator, surface plate, optical comparator, smart scope, and coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
