Dynamis is looking for a Junior Military Analyst to conduct research on military weapon systems and orders of battle, provide subject matter expertise on military capabilities, and support database development and wargaming efforts.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in military weapon systems, national equipment inventories, and orders of battle. Must be able to work as part of a multi-functional team, performing trend and comparative analysis of historic and emerging/future military capabilities.

Familiarity with information system toolsets, complex relational datasets, SCRUM/Agile software development methodology, or Department of Defense/military wargaming and/or modeling & simulation methodologies is desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, collect, structure, ingest, and analyze data for historical, current, and future military capabilities for the United States and other nations, as required.
  • Build detailed datasets consisting of weapon systems, platforms, and sensors characteristics & performance, historic/projected national inventories, and military orders of battle for naval, air, space, and ground forces.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on current and projected future capabilities for the United States and other nations, as required.
  • Assist with the development of advanced analytic and visualization tools
  • Manage tasks with minimal supervision and support teams in accomplishing high priority projects.

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active Top Secret/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • B.A. in international relations, history, operations research, political science, security studies, military affairs, strategic studies or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience; or High School/GED with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. military; naval, air and space warfare (including weapon systems and doctrine; and general concepts of operation and employment.
