POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets for our ready-mix concrete products. The Ready-Mix Sales Manager will lead a team of sales representatives, coordinate with production and logistics teams, and build strong relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support a culture that promotes safety as a top priority while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and company regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives for ready mix concrete sales.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and building relationships with potential customers.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular communication, site visits, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of ready-mix concrete orders and resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote company products and services and expand the customer base.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to ready mix concrete production and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven record of success in sales management, particularly in the ready-mix concrete industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and initiatives.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or listen. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, and bend. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 1-20 lbs.
