Aretum is seeking a UI/UX Strategist (Usability SME) to join our team. The UI/UX Strategist will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience of our digital products by providing usability expertise and strategic guidance.

As a UI/UX Strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and user needs. You will conduct user research, analyze user feedback, and develop actionable recommendations to improve the usability and accessibility of our products. You will also collaborate with designers and developers to translate usability recommendations into intuitive user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with design, implementation and deployment of the website/app, and partner with QA for testing.
• Determine appropriate tools, methods, and solutions for projects, bridging design, development, and production.
• Analyze existing systems, develop requirements for new systems, creates wireframes and mockups, understands best practices.
• Work with application users to design web and mobile apps incorporating Human Centered Design principles for intuitive user interface.
• Participate in software systems development, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements.
• Analyze software requirements, user interface design, user experience, develop and document UI designs based on standards and best practices.
• Lead the team of UI/UX designers to incorporate Human Centered Design principles and intuitive user interfaces.
• Utilize agile development methodology.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Successful candidates must be hands-on and strategic, with excellent communication skills.
• Requires BS degree and 12+ years' experience using a web design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma or Sketch
• Experience in applying best practices for improving web accessibility, usability, and technical implementation.
• Experience with designing User Interface graphics and elements, with defined styling, revisions, and/or improvements
• Capable of performing day to day activities with minimal direction. 
• Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and handle multiple priorities without compromising on quality. 
• Minimum Secret Security Clearance (or Interim) is required before start.
• A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security + CE or equivalent) is required before start.
